This challenging hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and historical landmarks. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 7.992 kilometers and an elevation gain of 608 meters. It is estimated to take around 3 hours and 22 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail, which is convenient for those driving to the starting point. About 0.35 kilometers into the hike, you will find a wayside cross, a historic landmark that adds a touch of culture to your outdoor adventure.
At the 1.94 kilometer mark, there is a fountain where you can refill your water bottles and take a break. Continuing on, you will reach another wayside cross at the 3.89 kilometer point, adding more historical charm to the route.
Around the 4 kilometer mark, you will find a viewpoint called Belvédère, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This is a great spot to rest and take in the scenery before making your way back.
As you trek back, you can make a stop at the fountain again at the 2.5 kilometer mark. Close to the end of the trail, at 2.61 kilometers, there is a bench where you can sit and relax before completing the hike.
It is important to note that there is a shelter called Abri de la Têtaz at the 4 kilometer mark, but it is slightly off the trail.
