This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Totensteiner Nadel. The trail is 4.904 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 292 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike. It is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps on the way back.
As you start the hike, you'll pass by "Infopunkt Schmilka" at around 0.42 kilometers into the trail, where you can find information about the area. About 0.25 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across a water source at "water". Make sure to refill your water bottle here as it will be useful for the rest of the hike.
Further along the trail, at 1.26 kilometers, you will reach "Zwieselhütte", a shelter where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Continuing on, you will encounter several peaks like "Böser Turm", "Feldschmiede", "Gamsturm", "Großer Gratturm", "Heringsgrundhorn", and others, known for climbing and offering breathtaking views.
Throughout the hike, you'll find convenient facilities such as benches, picnic sites, and shelters like "Boofe am Lehnriff Südseite" and "Wurzelboofe" where you can rest and have a snack.
