Starting off, you'll find parking at Parkplatz Waldhotel where you can leave your car before embarking on your adventure. As you begin your hike, you'll pass by the informative Der Harz für Mountainbiker signpost and the Zanthierplatz shelter.

Along the way, you'll come across various points of interest such as the Ilsestein rock formation and the Sagenumwobene Bergwildnis information point. Be sure to take a moment to enjoy the beautiful views from the Loddenke viewpoint and the Hans Dietrich von Zanthier-Platz memorial.

As you continue on, you'll encounter the Dreisageblocksklippe rock formation and the Waldhotel Am Ilsestein restaurant where you can take a break and refuel before heading back.
