As you start your journey, you'll come across the first point of interest, a parking area at the trailhead. From there, you'll pass by the Der Harz für Mountainbiker information point at the beginning of the trail. Be sure to check out the Prinzess-Ilse-Quelle spring, located approximately 0.2 kilometers from the start, for a refreshing stop.

As you continue your hike, you'll encounter the Ilsestein rock formation and memorial about 1.89 kilometers into the trail. This point of interest offers a unique perspective of the surrounding landscape and is a great spot to take in the views. Nearby, you'll find the Raststätte Ilsestein cafe for a quick break and some sustenance.

For those interested in history, the trail also passes by remains of the Stützmauer ehem. Burg Ilsestein archaeological site, providing a glimpse into the area's past. Further along the trail, you'll reach the Aussichtspunkt Paternosterklippe viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the surroundings.
