Starting off at the parking area near Waldhotel, you'll have the option to learn more about the Harz region for mountain bikers at the informational point just 0.04 kilometers from the start. As you continue, you'll pass by Zanthierplatz, where a shelter is available for hikers to take a break at the 0.46-kilometer mark.
Further along the trail, at the 0.89-kilometer mark, you'll come across a bench and a memorial at Hans Dietrich von Zanthier-Platz. Take a moment to soak in the historic significance of the area before continuing your journey.
As you approach the midpoint of the hike, you'll encounter the highlight of the trail - the Ilsestein peak at the 0.24-kilometer mark. This natural rock formation offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and is a perfect spot to rest and refuel before heading back.
