Hiking : Pic de la Coumette

This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on a 14.2-kilometer journey to the stunning Pic de la Coumette. The trail starts with a gradual ascent, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness.

As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across various points of interest. At just 0.07 kilometers from the start, you'll find a convenient parking area. Further along, at 1.82 kilometers from the start, there's a beautiful spot called L'Estagnol, known for its serene water views. The Cabane de la Jasse de Mourguillou wilderness hut is located 1.76 kilometers from the start, providing a rustic accommodation option for hikers.

Around the halfway point, you'll encounter the Cascade des Escaliers waterfall, a perfect place to rest and take in the natural beauty. Continuing on, at 5.1 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Crête de La Lhasse saddle and the Pyramide de Lierbès peak, offering stunning panoramic views of the area.

Towards the end of the trail, at 7.1 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the impressive Pic de la Coumette peak. The challenging terrain and elevation gain of 1002 meters make this hike suitable for experienced hikers only. Be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and sturdy hiking shoes.
