This hiking route takes you to the stunning area of Le Grand Arc. The trail is 8.682 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 693 meters, making it a difficult and challenging hike. It is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps on the way back.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. About 1.07 kilometers from the start, you will find a water source. At around 0.72 kilometers, you can take a detour to see the beautiful Lac de Fontaine Claire. Further along the trail, at 1.1 kilometers, there is another water source. Just 0.07 kilometers from the start, you will reach Chlatet Refuge de la Thuile, where you can take a break or stay overnight.
As you continue on, at around 4.34 kilometers, you will pass by Le Grand Arc peak. There are also facilities available at a shelter 0.01 kilometers from the start. On your way back, you can stop for a break at Chalet Refuge de la Thuile, which is located 0.07 kilometers from the start.
