This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to the stunning Sparrhorn peak, offering breathtaking views along the way. The trail spans approximately 11.977 kilometers and has an elevation gain of 1309 meters, so be prepared for a challenging but rewarding adventure.
Starting at the parking area, the trail begins with a gradual ascent, passing by attractions like Steigle and Natur- und Wildbeobachtungsposten Holzji. Around the 2.35 kilometer mark, you'll reach Steigle, a notable attraction in the area. Further along the trail at approximately 4.69 kilometers, you'll find a water source, perfect for refilling your water bottles.
As you continue on, you'll encounter Hotel Belalp, where you can take a break and refuel before tackling the rest of the trail. Keep an eye out for viewpoints like Aletschbord and Tyndall-Denkmal, offering stunning perspectives of the surrounding landscape.
