This extremely difficult 13.383 km circular hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Casara Trentin - Portule Pastorile. The trail offers a challenging but rewarding experience with an elevation gain of 528 meters and a duration of approximately 4 hours and 25 minutes.
As you begin your journey, you will come across the Eco Museo della Grande Guerra - Monte Forno, a historic ruins site located just 0.08 km from the starting point. Further along the trail, at around 2.24 km, you will find the Bivacco Bordignon wilderness hut, a perfect spot to rest and take in the surrounding natural beauty.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 5.15 km, you will encounter a water source at a distance of 17.802668477066955 meters from the trail. Make sure to refill your water supplies here as you continue your trek towards the Monte Pallone peak, located 4.11 km from the start but slightly off the trail.
At the 5.66 km mark, you will reach the Bivacco Casara Trentin wilderness hut, providing another opportunity to rest and recharge before tackling the remainder of the route. As you progress, take in the picturesque views of the Monte Toro di Pozze, Monte Colombaretta di Galmarara, and Monte Frate peaks, all located off the trail but visible along the way.
Before concluding your hike, be sure to visit the Bivio di Quota 1985 information point situated 2.69 km from the starting point, offering valuable insights into the area's flora, fauna, and history. Finally, as you make your way back to the starting point, take a moment to appreciate the majestic Monte Forno peak just 0.08 km away.
