This hike will take you to the stunning Pic de Crède in an area known for its natural beauty and historical significance. The route is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 9.538 kilometers with an elevation gain of 691 meters, making it a difficult trek that is recommended for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will pass by the Port de Lers, a natural saddle that offers a picturesque starting point for your hike. Just 2 kilometers from the trailhead, you will come across a wheelchair-accessible parking area, making it convenient for visitors to access the trail.
Midway through the hike, at a distance of 4.23 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Pic des Trois Seigneurs, a notable peak in the area with breathtaking panoramic views. Nearby, you will also find the Stèle hommage à Jean Piquemal, a historic memorial that pays tribute to a local figure.
Continuing on, at around 4.77 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter the Pic de Crède, the main highlight of the route. This peak offers a challenging yet rewarding climb, with stunning vistas awaiting you at the summit.
On the way back, you can stop by the Source, a natural spring located just 0.06 kilometers off the trail, providing a refreshing break before concluding your hike.
