This challenging hiking route will take you to the breathtaking Messnerin area. The trail spans a distance of 7.582 kilometers with an elevation gain of 968 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 4 hours and 10 minutes to complete.
As you embark on this out-and-back route, you will encounter several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will come across the Ambrosi Bründl spring, where you can refill your water supply. Further along the path, at a distance of 1 kilometer, you will find the Grüner See-Blick viewpoint, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Midway through the hike, at around 2.43 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Windscharte viewpoint, providing another opportunity to take in the picturesque scenery. As you continue on, you will also pass by informative signposts that offer insights into the area's history and natural features.
Towards the end of the trail, approximately 3.79 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Messnerin, offering a rewarding conclusion to your journey. Here, you can take in panoramic views of the surroundings before making your way back.
