Welcome to Tierpark Mainz-Kastel - Unterer Zwerchweg - Wiesbaden hiking route.
This easy out-and-back trail spans approximately 2.12 kilometers with no elevation gain, making it suitable for hikers of all levels. The route takes you through a picturesque area with various points of interest along the way.
Starting your journey, you will find a convenient parking area close to the trailhead. As you make your way along the path, you will come across benches where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the surrounding nature. Around the 1.06 kilometer mark, you will find a water source and a shelter where you can take a break and refuel.
Further along the trail, you will pass by a farm and a zoo. Make sure to check the opening hours of the zoo, Tiergarten Kastel, if you wish to explore it during your hike. Additionally, there are bicycle parking facilities available if you choose to cycle to the trailhead.
At the halfway point, there is a restaurant, Bistro Kefraya, where you can treat yourself to a meal or refreshments before heading back.
