This hiking route will take you through a beautiful area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is an out-and-back type, with the destination being the peak of Backenstein.

Starting at the Gabillonhaus parking lot, you'll begin your journey through the Grundlsee Gaiswinkel area. Along the way, you'll pass by various points of interest such as parking areas, a spring, a cave entrance called Almbergloch, and benches where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.

Midway through the hike, you'll reach Backenstein peak, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This is a great spot to rest and refuel before heading back.

Throughout the hike, you'll encounter several facilities like shelters, benches, information points, and even a waterfall. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and sturdy hiking shoes, as the trail covers a distance of 12.632 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1019 meters, making it extremely difficult.
