Welcome to the Sentiero dell'acquedotto hiking route! This circular trail spans a distance of 17.084 kilometers with an elevation gain of 737 meters, making it an extremely difficult but rewarding trek for experienced hikers.
The trail starts at a parking area, located at the beginning of the route. As you embark on your journey, you'll come across some interesting points of interest along the way. Approximately 5.5 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Madonna di Limano shelter, providing a rest stop for hikers.
Further along the trail, at around 2.45 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter a refreshing spring where you can replenish your water supply. Additionally, at 2.57 kilometers from the start, there is a drinking water point for your convenience.
Continuing on, at 3.25 kilometers from the start, you'll pass by the historic Madonna della Costa wayside shrine, adding a cultural element to your hike. Around the halfway point, at 7.31 kilometers from the start, you'll find another drinking water point for hydration.
As you approach the latter part of the trail, at 7.86 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Foce delle Terre Rosse saddle, offering scenic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, at 8.13 kilometers from the start, there is a peak where you can enjoy panoramic vistas.
Towards the end of the route, at 8.39 kilometers from the start, you'll find Monte Cimo peak, a perfect spot to admire the beauty of the area. Finally, at 5.57 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Foce di Granaia saddle, marking the conclusion of your challenging yet fulfilling hike.
