This extremely difficult 10.076-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you through the stunning area around Taxer See. The trail includes an elevation gain of 1256.0 meters and is estimated to take about 5 hours and 28 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across some points of interest along the way. About 0.31 kilometers into the hike, you will find a parking area, which can be useful for those driving to the trailhead. Further along the trail, at the 2.0-kilometer mark, there is an information point where you can learn more about the area.
Around the halfway point, at 5.04 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the beautiful Taxer See. This tranquil lake provides a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Continuing on, at 2.41 kilometers, there is another water point closer to the trail, followed by more benches for resting at the 2.0-kilometer mark.
The trail also passes by additional amenities, including a restaurant named "Forellenhof" about 0.31 kilometers from the start, and another restaurant "GH Sonnenalm" right at the trail, perfect for refueling before heading back.
Towards the end of the route, at 3.77 kilometers in, you will reach Peider Scharte, a notable saddle along the trail. As you make your way back, be sure to check out the other points of interest you may have missed, like additional water sources and informational points.
