Welcome to the hiking route to Monte Crabun, a challenging and extremely difficult trail that covers a distance of 9.052 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1305 meters. This trail offers stunning views of the surrounding area and is not for the faint of heart.
Starting at the trailhead, you will find a parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the route. As you make your way along the trail, approximately 4.49 kilometers from the start, you will come across a historic wayside cross, adding a touch of cultural significance to your hike.
Continuing on, at around 3.19 kilometers from the start, you will find a natural spring where you can refill your water bottles and take a refreshing break. Further along the trail, at 3.86 kilometers from the start, you will reach a saddle known as Colletto, offering a picturesque spot to rest and take in the surrounding beauty.
As you approach the peak of Monte Crabun at 4.53 kilometers from the start, the breathtaking views will make the challenging hike worthwhile. Near the peak, at 4.43 kilometers from the start, you will find the Bivacco Crabun shelter, providing a place to rest and recharge before your descent.
On the way back, at 4.41 kilometers from the start, a viewpoint will offer a final opportunity to admire the scenic landscape before completing the out-and-back journey. Additionally, there are several information points along the trail to enhance your hiking experience.
