This challenging hiking route takes you to the stunning Cap de Poilanèr area, where you will be surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes and historical points of interest. The trail covers a distance of 11.582 kilometers with an elevation gain of 920 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek that will take around 4 hours and 58 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will pass by the Evadés de France Memorial, a significant historic site honoring those who escaped France during World War II. Along the way, you will also come across informative signposts providing insights into the local flora, fauna, and geology. Make sure to take a moment to appreciate the tranquility of the Le chêne généreux spring, located at a distance of 1.68 kilometers from the start.
Further into the hike, at around 4.23 kilometers from the beginning, you will reach the picturesque Estanh de Cap deth Plan, a serene water body perfect for a rest stop and some scenic photos. Additionally, you can explore the Cabane du Pesson wilderness hut situated 0.96 kilometers away from the trail, offering a rustic yet cozy spot for a break.
