Welcome to the Ickelsberg Hauptweg hiking route!
This 8.398-kilometer circular trail offers a challenging but rewarding hiking experience with an elevation gain of 70.0 meters. The route takes approximately 2 hours and 7 minutes to complete.
Starting from the parking area at the beginning of the trail, hikers will pass by several points of interest. At around the 4-kilometer mark, you will come across multiple water sources, providing a refreshing stop for thirsty adventurers.
Around the 3.12-kilometer mark, you will find Bistro Fuldablick, a restaurant where you can refuel and relax before continuing on your journey. Further along the path, at 1.72 kilometers, the Ruine d. ehem. Walderholungsheims stands as a historic site to explore.
As you approach the 3.56-kilometer mark, benches are available for a rest stop with a view. Additionally, informational points can be found at various locations along the route to learn more about the area's history and landmarks.
Towards the end of the trail, at 1.68 kilometers, you will encounter the Grenzstein von 1838, a historic boundary stone marking a significant point along the route.
