This hiking route in the Cerrilo de Zumacar area is a super easy out-and-back trail with a total distance of approximately 1.027 kilometers and an elevation gain of 83 meters. The hike should take around 26 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area labeled "inicio de rutas turísticas," hikers will begin their journey at the trailhead. As you make your way along the trail, about midway through your hike at 0.51 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Cerrilo de Zumacar, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding natural landscape.
Along the trail, you may also come across an information point at 0.0 kilometers, providing some insight into the area's history and geography. Additionally, there is a cave entrance known as Cueva del Aire at the same point as the peak, although it is slightly off the main trail.
