This extremely difficult 13.392 km out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the stunning Schoenhofer Wand peak. The trail has an elevation gain of 917 meters and is estimated to take around 5 hours and 23 minutes to complete.

Starting at the trailhead, you will come across a picturesque water source approximately 5.45 km into the hike, perfect for refilling your water bottles. As you continue onward, you will reach the Talschluss parking area located right at the beginning of the trail, making it convenient for hikers to park their vehicles before embarking on the journey.

Further along the trail at around 4.52 km, you will encounter another water point for you to take a refreshing break. Make sure to stay hydrated and carry enough water with you, especially considering the challenging nature of the hike.

The highlight of this route is reaching the Schoenhofer Wand peak at approximately 6.7 km. Take in the breathtaking panoramic views from the summit before retracing your steps back to the starting point.

Along the way, you will also pass by the Steffelalm restaurant at 0.43 km, where you can enjoy a meal and rest before continuing your trek. Additionally, there are benches scattered at various points along the trail, offering hikers a place to relax and take in the surrounding natural beauty.
