This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning natural rock formations and picturesque views. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 3.335 kilometers and an elevation gain of 148.0 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
Starting at the parking area, you will embark on your journey towards the first point of interest which is the Rückhaltebecken Haselbachstollen, located at 0.47 kilometers from the start. This water reservoir provides a serene backdrop for your hike.
Along the way, you will come across several rock formations named after the apostles, such as Judas, Johannes, Simon Zelotes, Paulus, Thomas, Matthäus, and more. These natural wonders add a unique touch to the scenery and are perfect for photo opportunities.
At approximately 1.46 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the peak named Judas, offering a fantastic climbing experience. Further along the trail, you will encounter the viewpoints of 12 Apostelfelsen, providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
As you continue your journey, make sure to stop by the shelter named Im Finsterbach for a quick rest. There are also benches and information points scattered throughout the trail, offering convenience and insightful details about the area.
Finally, the trail leads you to the destination of Bartholomäus (6. Apostel), where you can admire the impressive rock formation and take in the natural beauty of the surroundings.
