This hiking route is an extremely difficult 13.47-kilometer out-and-back trail that will take you approximately 4 hours and 39 minutes to complete. The trail has an elevation gain of 613 meters and is located in a picturesque area.

As you start your hike, you'll come across a parking area just 0.02 kilometers from the trailhead. Make sure to park your vehicle here before embarking on your journey. Shortly after, at 0.08 kilometers from the start, you'll find a bench where you can take a short break and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Midway through the hike, at 6.74 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the peak of Reitstein. Take some time to soak in the breathtaking views from this vantage point. Additionally, along the trail, you'll encounter historic boundary stones that add to the charm of the hike.

It's important to note that there is a restaurant called Glashütte located 0.02 kilometers from the trail, where you can refuel and recharge before or after your hike. However, be prepared as the peak located 5.98 kilometers from the start is slightly off the main trail.

Given the length and elevation gain of this trail, it is recommended to bring plenty of water, snacks, and to wear appropriate hiking shoes. Additionally, be sure to check the weather forecast before heading out to ensure a safe and enjoyable hiking experience.
