This challenging hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Veliki hrib. At the beginning of the trail, you'll find OŠ Janka Kersnika parking where you can leave your vehicle. As you hike along, you'll come across a picnic site and the monument Spomenik NOB, both located about 1.15 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail, at about 2.41 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a wayside shrine and information point where you can learn more about the area.

As you continue your journey, you'll pass by ruins and the peak Veliki hrib at around the 4.35-kilometer mark. The peak offers stunning views and is a great spot to take a break before heading back. Along the way back, you'll also come across Golčaj peak and Planjava peak, both providing breathtaking scenery.

This out-and-back route spans a total of 8.703 kilometers and includes an elevation gain of 397 meters, making it a difficult trek that is best suited for experienced hikers. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. It's also a good idea to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
