This extremely difficult circular hiking route to Punta Cornour covers a distance of 19.776 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1586 meters. The duration of the hike is estimated to be around 8 hours and 32 minutes.
The trail begins at Parcheggio Campeggio Prali, where you can park your vehicle before starting your adventure. As you set off, you'll pass by a drinking water point located just 30 meters from the trail, so make sure to fill up your water bottles.
About midway through the hike, you'll reach Col Giulian, a saddle point offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. This is a great spot to take a break and refuel before continuing onwards.
As you trek further, you'll encounter Colle Rousset, another saddle point along the trail. This marks the final stretch of the ascent before reaching the highlight of the hike, Punta Cornour, a majestic peak standing tall at 9.79 kilometers from the start.
Throughout the hike, you'll come across various drinking water points to stay hydrated. Additionally, at the beginning and end of the route, there are parking facilities available for your convenience.
