This extremely difficult 13.493-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning area surrounding Gelnica. The trail starts at a convenient parking area and follows a path that leads you to various points of interest along the way.

As you begin your journey, you'll come across an information point providing insights about the region. Further ahead, at about 0.3 kilometers from the start, you'll find the historic Gelnica castle, although it's not directly on the trail. Along the way, make sure to stop by the shelter at around 0.0 kilometers from the start for a rest.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 5.41 kilometers from the beginning, you'll reach the Koňec hory point, which provides a captivating view of the surroundings. As you continue, at about 6.55 kilometers from the start, there is a viewpoint offering even more breathtaking scenery.

Throughout the trail, you'll encounter various benches for resting and enjoying the natural beauty surrounding you. Make sure to also check out the natural springs like the one at 0.62 kilometers from the start and the Burčanková lúka spring at 3.12 kilometers from the beginning for a refreshing break.

Although this hike is rewarding, its length and elevation gain of 262.0 meters make it quite challenging. Therefore, it is essential to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear. Additionally, it is advisable to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
