Welcome to the hiking route in Horco Vaquerizo! This challenging trail spans a distance of 15.396 kilometers with an elevation gain of 929 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you'll come across a scenic picnic site just 18.347 meters away from the trail. It's a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings. About 1.48 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a natural water source, great for refilling your water bottles.
Around 3.75 kilometers from the start, there are two springs nearby for a refreshing stop. "Fuente de la Umbría" spring is just 1.19 kilometers away from this point. As you continue, a peak at 2.62 kilometers provides a breathtaking panoramic view, although it's not directly on the trail.
At 5.55 kilometers, you'll reach "Collado Rodrigo" saddle, offering a nice resting spot. Further along at 5.96 kilometers, another peak can be explored for stunning scenery. As you trek 7.7 kilometers, be prepared to conquer yet another peak with exceptional views.
Additionally, at 4.24 kilometers, a spring is conveniently located near the trail for a quick refill. Finally, at 2.49 kilometers, you'll reach another saddle, "Horco Vaquerizo," marking the end of the route before you turn back.
