Welcome to the hiking route to Panorama! This trail offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for outdoor enthusiasts.
The trail begins at Piazzale Martiri della Libertà, a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on your adventure. As you start your hike, you will pass by Fonte Donzelletta, a drinking water point, ensuring you stay hydrated throughout your journey. Approximately 2.41 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Rifugio, a shelter where you can take a rest and enjoy the surrounding scenery.
Continuing on, at around 4.07 kilometers, you will encounter the archaeological site of Rovine Castello d'Ariano (Algidum), adding a historical touch to your hike. Nearby, at 4.08 kilometers, you will find Maschio d'Ariano (monte Algido), a peak that offers stunning panoramic views of the area.
Further along the trail, at 3.1 kilometers, you will find a picnic site and a fountain called Fonte Donzella, perfect for a quick break and refilling your water supply. As you approach the 3.39-kilometer mark, be sure to visit the Canyon, a unique attraction that adds excitement to your journey.
Finally, at 4.09 kilometers, you will reach Panorama, a viewpoint where you can relax and admire the breathtaking views before heading back the way you came.
This out-and-back trail covers a distance of 8.174 kilometers with an elevation gain of 473 meters, making it a difficult hike suitable for experienced hikers.
