This challenging 7.778-kilometer circular hiking route in the area of Carretera de Canencia offers stunning views and diverse points of interest along the way.
Starting at the parking area, you'll find easy access to the trailhead. Just a short distance away, at 0.04 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the Fuente del Collado, a refreshing drinking water source for hikers. Nearby, also at the 0.04-kilometer mark, is the Restaurante Fuente del Collado where you can refuel with a delicious meal.
As you continue on the trail, at 3.16 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the picturesque Collado Cerrado o Hermoso saddle. This is a perfect spot to take a break and soak in the surrounding natural beauty. A bit further along, at the 3.82-kilometer mark, you'll find the Mirador de la Gregoria viewpoint offering panoramic vistas of the area.
For those interested in wildlife, about halfway through the hike at the 0.5-kilometer mark, you'll find the Anfibios de Bustarviejo information point where you can learn more about the local amphibians. Additionally, at 0.55 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Manantial de la Gregoria spring, providing a serene setting to rest and take in the surroundings.
While the trail also leads to a peak at 2.82 kilometers from the start, it's not directly on the trail itself. The peak is best left for experienced hikers seeking an additional challenge.
