This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Rifugio Monte Barone. The trail spans a distance of 7.42 kilometers with an elevation gain of 555 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike. It is estimated to take around 3 hours and 6 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the first point of interest, a parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. About 0.06 kilometers into the hike, you will find Hotel Ristorante Noveis, where you can grab a bite to eat before continuing on.
As you venture further along the trail, at approximately 1.47 kilometers from the start, you will encounter an information point that provides insights into the surrounding area. Along the way, there are also several peaks to admire, such as Punta delle Camosce and Punta Pissavacca.
At the midway point of the hike, approximately 3.7 kilometers from the start, you will reach Rifugio Monte Barone, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the stunning mountain views. Just before reaching the hut, there are drinking water sources available for hikers.
On the return journey, you can stop by Fontana dei Cacciatori, a natural spring located about 2.57 kilometers from the start, to replenish your water supply.
It is important to note that this is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps back to the starting point.
