This extremely difficult 14.089-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the stunning Punta Rognosa area. The hike has an elevation gain of 1217 meters and is estimated to take around 6 hours and 18 minutes to complete.
As you begin your journey, you'll find parking available near the trailhead for your convenience. Make sure to bring plenty of water as the trail progresses. At around 2.5 kilometers from the start, you'll come across a natural water source where you can refill your supplies.
About 6 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach the majestic Punta Rognosa peak, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. Continuing on, at 5.42 kilometers from the start, you'll pass by Colletto della Rognosa, a scenic saddle point along the trail.
Throughout the route, you'll also encounter several informational points and benches for resting and learning more about the area. It is advisable to stop and read the information signs to enrich your hiking experience.
As you reach the halfway point, you'll find parking available for those who may need a break or wish to end their hike early. Towards the end of the trail, you'll pass by Colle del Sestriere, another notable saddle point offering a different perspective of the terrain.
