This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area surrounding Hohe Mais. The trail is a circular route, covering a distance of 4.16 kilometers with an elevation gain of 196 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. Near the beginning of the trail, you will find a minigolf park and bicycle parking facilities. As you continue, you'll pass by several benches and picnic sites where you can take a break and enjoy the serene surroundings.
About midway through the hike, you'll encounter the Saugrabenloch and Fuchsbandwurm cave entrances, adding a sense of adventure to your experience. The trail also offers opportunities to see historical landmarks such as the Waldläuferkreuz wayside cross.
