This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and interesting points of interest along the way. The trail is 1.732 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 35 meters, making it a super easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by the Haus zur Wildnis-Ludwigsthal parking area just 0.05 kilometers into the hike. As you continue, at the 0.05 kilometer mark, you will come across an information point where you can learn more about the area. Further along, at the 0.87 kilometer mark, you will reach a wheelchair-accessible viewpoint with a breathtaking panoramic view. Nearby, there is the Aussichtsturm im Nationalparkzentrum Falkenstein, a tower where you can enjoy even more spectacular views.
As you hike, you may also encounter the Steinzeithöhle cave entrance at the 0.62 kilometer mark, adding a touch of adventure to your journey. Along the way, you will find shelters, benches, and picnic sites where you can take a break and soak in the surroundings.
Make sure to stop by the Nationalparkzentrum Falkenstein Tier-Freigelände, a zoo area without entry fee, at the 0.68 kilometer mark. Here, you can observe and learn about local wildlife.
