This extremely difficult 13.681-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you through the stunning area near Großer Lanschütz. The trail starts at Wanderparkplatz Speiereck where you can park your vehicle. As you set off on your adventure, you'll pass by the Speiereck peak located approximately 5.09 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to admire the breathtaking views of the surroundings.

Around 3.63 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across Speiereck Halterhütte, a restaurant where you can take a break and refuel. Continuing on, you'll encounter Großer Lanschütz peak at 6.84 kilometers into the hike, followed by Kleiner Lanschütz peak at 6.01 kilometers. These peaks offer panoramic views that make the challenging trek worthwhile.

Throughout the hike, there are benches along the trail, such as the one located 2.26 kilometers from the start, where you can rest and take in the scenery. It's important to bring an ample water supply and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging journey. Keep in mind that the total elevation gain is approximately 1117.0 meters, so be prepared for steep inclines.

As you make your way back, you can stop by Kuckuck, an information point located at the beginning of the trail for some interesting insights about the area. This hike is not for the faint of heart, but the rewarding views and sense of accomplishment make it a must-do for experienced hikers looking for a thrilling adventure.
