This hiking route will take you to the Frauenalpe area, located in a picturesque natural setting. The trail starts at the parking area and follows a well-marked path through the forest.
After hiking for about 2.2 kilometers, you will come across an information point where you can learn more about the area. Continuing on, at around 3.19 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Frauenalpe peak, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
On your way back, about 1.1 kilometers from the start, you will pass by a historic wayside cross, adding a cultural element to your hike. Further down the trail, at approximately 0.21 kilometers from the start, there is another information point for you to discover more about the region.
Throughout the 6.386-kilometer hike with an elevation gain of 386 meters, you will also find the Murauer Hütte and Bernhard-Fest-Hütte alpine huts along the way, providing a perfect resting spot to refuel and enjoy some local cuisine.
This moderate difficulty out-and-back trail can be completed in about 2 hours and 26 minutes. Remember to bring enough water, wear appropriate hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure to Frauenalpe.
