Welcome to the hiking route to Augstbordhorn, a challenging circular trail that offers stunning views and diverse landscapes. The trail is 9.958 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 890 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Starting at the Moosalp parking lot, you'll pass by the Dorbia restaurant early on, where you can fuel up before the ascent. As you make your way up, you'll encounter the Moosalp viewpoint which offers a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding mountains.
Around the 3 kilometer mark, you'll come across Üsserts Seewji, a beautiful alpine lake perfect for a peaceful rest stop. Further along the trail, at approximately 4.5 kilometers, you'll reach the impressive peak of Augstbordhorn, the highlight of the hike.
Along the route, you'll find several benches for taking breaks and enjoying the scenery. Make sure to stay hydrated by refilling your water bottle at the drinking water station located at 1.84 kilometers into the hike.
At the end of the trail, you'll pass by the Moosalp Chalte Brunne information point where you can learn more about the area before heading back to the parking lot.
