This extremely difficult 12.072 km circular hiking route, known as the Taja Trail, will take you through a challenging terrain with an elevation gain of 495.0 meters. The trail starts and ends at the same point and offers breathtaking views and interesting points of interest along the way.
The trail begins with a visit to the Schwarzwasser See, a beautiful natural lake located 2.95 km from the starting point. As you continue your hike, you will come across the Hängebrücke Bärenfalle at 1.49 km, a suspension bridge that offers a thrilling experience. For sustenance, you can stop at Pazze Nova, a bar located right on the trail at the beginning of the hike.
Further along the trail, at 3.19 km, you will reach the picturesque Pardatscher See, a natural lake perfect for a scenic break. Make sure to stay hydrated and refuel at one of the nearby restaurants like Romatic Champagner Hütt'n or Trofana Alm.
As you proceed on the trail, you will encounter several water bodies like the Hängebrücke Kitzloch and various benches and picnic sites for resting and enjoying the surroundings. It is advised to carry enough water and snacks with you to keep your energy levels up throughout the hike.
