This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route takes you to the stunning Ibon de las Ranas in the Pyrenees. The 16.845-kilometer journey boasts a challenging elevation gain of 703 meters and a duration of approximately 5 hours and 39 minutes.

Starting at the trailhead, you'll come across a parking area to leave your vehicle before embarking on the adventure. As you make your way along the trail, approximately 7.5 kilometers in, you'll encounter the Refugio de Respomuso, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the mountain views.

Around 8.21 kilometers into the hike, you'll find the beautiful Ibón de ras Ranas, a scenic mountain lake perfect for a peaceful rest stop. Further along the trail, at 8.42 kilometers, you'll reach another picturesque spot, the Ibon de las Ranas, offering a tranquil setting to take in the natural surroundings.

For sustenance, midway through the hike, at the beginning and at the end, you'll pass by the Asador La Sarra restaurant, where you can refuel with some food and drinks.

Throughout the route, you'll also encounter informative signposts and spring water sources to keep you hydrated. Remember to check the weather forecast before setting out, pack plenty of water, and wear appropriate hiking gear for this challenging journey.
