Welcome to the hiking route to Boat How!
This route is an out-and-back trail, located in a beautiful area with stunning views and historical landmarks.
Starting at Boot, you will pass the Boot Inn, a charming pub just a short distance from the trail. As you continue, you will come across White Moss Stone Circles, an archaeological site located about midway through the hike. Take some time to explore the ancient stone circles and imagine the history behind them.
Further along the trail, you will reach Brat's Hill Stone Circle, another archaeological site that adds a sense of mystery to the hike. The trail also passes by Nab Gill Iron Mine, offering a glimpse into the area's industrial past.
As you approach Boat How, you will encounter Brats Hill and Boat How peaks, providing a rewarding challenge and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
This route is approximately 4.5 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 246 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels. Remember to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before setting out.
