This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and interesting points of interest along the way. The total distance of the hike is approximately 2.988 kilometers with an elevation gain of 34 meters, making it relatively easy in terms of difficulty.

At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before starting your hike. Just a short distance from the trailhead, you will come across an information point called "Glymur og Leggjabrjótur". This is a great spot to learn more about the area and its history.

As you continue on, you will reach the highlight of the hike - the Staur waterfall.
