Italy Trentino – Alto Adige/Südtirol South Tyrol

This challenging 11.5-kilometer hiking route will take you through the stunning alpine landscapes of the area. The trail starts at a parking area located at the beginning of the route. As you begin your hike, you'll come across the Gasthaus Unteröberst, a restaurant where you can take a break and enjoy a meal before continuing on your journey.

As you make your way along the trail, you'll pass by several points of interest. About 1.5 kilometers into the hike, you'll find an information point with details about the area. Further along, at around 2 kilometers, you'll come across some historic ruins that add a sense of mystery to the surroundings.

The route also takes you past several water features, including the Obisellsee - Lago di Saltusio and various other natural springs. Be sure to bring enough water with you as there may not be opportunities to refill along the way.

Around the midway point of the hike, at approximately 4.5 kilometers, you'll find a bench where you can rest and take in the beautiful views. Continuing on, at 4.8 kilometers, you'll reach the Obere Obisellalm - Malga Obesell di sopra, an alpine hut where you can potentially stay overnight if you're looking to extend your adventure.

As you near the end of the route, be prepared for a challenging ascent, as the trail gains a total of 961 meters in elevation throughout the hike. Make sure to check the weather forecast before setting out, as conditions can change rapidly in the mountains.
