This hiking route takes you through the stunning area surrounding Gîte Crête de la Marianne. With a total distance of approximately 12.988 kilometers and an elevation gain of 806 meters, this hike is considered extremely difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.

As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. About 6.44 kilometers into the hike, you'll find an information point where you can learn more about the area. Further along the trail at 6.33 kilometers, there is a drinking water source to refill your bottles.

At 6.16 kilometers, you will pass by another drinking water spot, followed by an information point and a cafe at 6.18 kilometers. If you're looking to take a break, there is a campsite located 5.47 kilometers from the start, called La Bonne Terre.

As you continue your hike, you'll encounter a spring at 4.7 kilometers and a shelter at 6.18 kilometers. Along the way, you'll also come across a wayside shrine at 4.93 kilometers and several other information points at various distances.

At approximately 6.49 kilometers, you will reach the Gîte Crête de la Marianne, an alpine hut where you can rest and take in the beautiful surroundings. Be sure to visit the viewpoints at 5.02 and 5.1 kilometers, offering breathtaking scenery of the area.

Given the length and elevation gain of this hike, it is important to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.
