The Barfußpfad trail is located in a beautiful area with stunning natural features and challenging terrain. The route is an out-and-back type, offering hikers a total distance of 12.261 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1009.0 meters, making it extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers.

As you start your journey, you will come across a convenient parking area just 4.03 meters from the trailhead. The trail then leads you towards Brauneck, a peak located 3.66 kilometers from the start. At Brauneck, you can visit the Brauneck-Gipfelhaus, an alpine hut and restaurant offering a place to rest and refuel for the journey ahead.

Continuing on, at approximately 4.47 kilometers from the start, you will reach Tölzer Hütte, a wheelchair-accessible restaurant. Further along at 4.76 kilometers, the Quenger Alm restaurant provides another opportunity to take a break and enjoy some refreshments.

As you progress, you will encounter various points of interest such as Latschenkopf peak at 6.12 kilometers, and Schrödelstein peak at 4.08 kilometers. Along the way, be sure to take in the natural beauty of the area, including rock formations like Ameisenwand and climbing spots like Gamskopf.
