Starting at the trailhead, hikers will first come across the Alpengasthof Edelweiss, a cozy restaurant located just 0.36 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to grab a bite to eat or a refreshing drink before beginning the ascent.
As you continue along the trail, you'll pass by a parking area just at the beginning, which is convenient for those driving to the trailhead. Around 0.9 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across a water source, perfect for refilling your water bottles.
Around 2.13 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach the Hehlesattel, a picturesque saddle point offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. This is a great spot to take a break and soak in the scenery.
Further along the trail, at approximately 2.65 kilometers, you'll reach the Kanisfluh - Holenke peak, which provides breathtaking views of the region. This is a rewarding endpoint for the hike before turning back towards the start.
Throughout the hike, you'll also come across informational points and benches for resting and learning more about the area. Just under a kilometer before reaching the trailhead, you'll find the Jausestation Obere Alpe, a quaint restaurant where you can relax and refuel after your trek.
