Welcome to the Gaisberg hiking route near Salzburg. This circular route covers a distance of approximately 5 kilometers with an elevation gain of 349 meters, making it a moderate level hike. The estimated duration for this hike is around 2 hours.
At the beginning of the trail, you will find parking facilities and the Kriegerdenkmal memorial. As you continue, you will come across the Gasthof Schloss Aigen restaurant and the Schloss Aigen castle. Along the way, you can explore natural attractions such as the Hexenloch cave entrance and the Gilowskyhöhle cave entrance.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the Jagerhöh' peak and enjoy panoramic views from the Kanzel viewpoint. Don't forget to visit the water source at the 2.5-kilometer mark to refill your water bottle.
