Welcome to the Kalkweg hiking route in Duisburg! This circular route spans approximately 2.39 kilometers with no elevation gain, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.

As you start your journey on the Kalkweg, you will pass by the tranquil Masurensee, located just 0.11 kilometers from the trailhead. This picturesque lake provides a serene backdrop for the beginning of your hike. Further along the trail at 1.18 kilometers in, you will come across another water feature, perfect for a peaceful rest stop.

For those driving to the trailhead, parking is available at Masurenallee. You'll find two parking areas located right at the start of the trail, ensuring convenient access to the hiking route.

As you continue on your hike, you'll have the opportunity to take in the scenic views from various viewpoints and relax on benches strategically placed along the trail. Look out for the artwork "Anker" located just 0.83 kilometers from the start, adding a cultural touch to your outdoor adventure.

If you find yourself in need of sustenance, Haus Seeblick and ETuS Wedau are nearby restaurants offering a welcomed break for hungry hikers.
