This hiking route takes you through the beautiful mountainous area surrounding Rifugio Bocchette. The trail is a challenging one, with a total distance of 17.7 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1290 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area nearby, followed by a drinking water point just 50 meters into the trail to ensure you stay hydrated. Further along, at about 1.08 kilometers into the hike, you'll pass by the entrance to the Bus de Re Fos cave, adding some adventure to your trek.
Midway through the trail, at around 5.77 kilometers, you'll reach Cason dei Lebi, where you can take a break and enjoy the shelter before continuing on. As you approach the 8.86-kilometer mark, you'll find two alpine huts, offering accommodation options for those looking to extend their hike over multiple days.
Near the 8.85-kilometer point, there is a water source off the trail for refilling your supplies. And at the same distance, you'll reach Rifugio Bocchette, your final destination and a great spot to rest and recharge before heading back.
Throughout the hike, you'll also come across various restaurants like Rifugio Bellavista da Memi and Ristorante San Liberale, providing opportunities to enjoy a meal with a view. Additionally, there are informational points and picnic sites along the way, adding educational and recreational value to your adventure.
