This hiking route will take you through the scenic area of Affenwand. The trail is 5.29 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 239 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike. It is an out-and-back route, starting and ending at Wanderparkplatz Nasser Grund.
As you start your hike, you will pass by the Übersichtskarte information point, providing you with an overview of the area. About 2.27 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Domwächter peak, followed by the Dompfeiler peak at 2.29 kilometers. These peaks are popular for climbing and offer stunning views of the surroundings.
Continuing on the trail, you will encounter several other points of interest such as the Sandloch cave entrance and the Kleines Prebischtor attraction. At around 2.38 kilometers, you will find the 2. Zerborstener Turm peak, another great climbing spot.
Along the way, there are shelters like Boofe an der Lorenznadel and Boofe im Nassen Grund where you can take a rest and enjoy the surroundings. It is recommended to bring enough water and snacks for the hike, as well as checking the weather forecast before setting off.
