Welcome to the Doulton Drive hiking route in Sandwell. This circular route spans approximately 2.35 kilometers and offers an easy level of difficulty with no significant elevation gain.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Blue Gates Hotel, a charming pub located just 0.73 kilometers from the start of the trail. Further along, at the same distance marker, you will encounter artwork at the Blue Plaque: Smethwick Public Building, adding a touch of history to your hike.

Moving on, you will come across various water features along the way, including a natural water source at 1.05 kilometers from the start, where you can take a refreshing break. Additionally, you will find parking facilities and bicycle parking options conveniently located throughout the route for easy access.

At 0.84 kilometers from the start, you can visit the Bookworm Café for a quick snack before continuing your hike. Further ahead, at the 0.77 kilometer mark, you will find the Blue Plaque: Smethwick Toll House, another historic landmark to explore.

As you make your way back towards the starting point, you will pass by the "Then revel in gladness..." artwork at 0.84 kilometers from the start, adding a creative touch to your hike.
