Welcome to the Camí del Castell hiking route! This circular route offers stunning views and a moderate challenge for hikers.
Starting at the trailhead, you'll find parking available for your convenience. As you begin your trek, be sure to fill up your water bottles as the first water source is located approximately 2.73 kilometers into the hike. Further along the trail, at around 3.4 kilometers, you'll come across two more water sources, perfect for refilling and staying hydrated.
As you continue on, be on the lookout for the Font De L’arc picnic site and the ruins of a historic site, both located around 2.76 kilometers into the hike. These spots offer great opportunities to rest and take in the surroundings.
During the hike, you'll also pass by Coll Roig, a saddle point with amazing views, located 1.17 kilometers into the trail. Further on, at 1.21 kilometers, you'll find the peak of l'Areny, a great spot to capture panoramic photos of the area.
Along the way, you'll encounter the Cova del Patou cave entrance, approximately 0.15 kilometers from the start, offering a unique opportunity for exploration.
At the beginning and end of the trail, you'll find information points with valuable insights into the area's history and attractions, allowing you to learn more about the surroundings.
With a total distance of 6.819 kilometers and an elevation gain of 278 meters, this hike is of moderate difficulty. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear, bring plenty of water, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
