This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Ancien Sentier des Gardes. The trail is 3.772 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 443 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike. It is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps on the way back.

As you start your journey, you will come across the "Parking du Tiocan" where you can leave your vehicle. Just a short distance away, at 0.01 kilometers from the start, you will find "Le Tiocan," an alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy the scenic surroundings.

As you continue along the trail, you will reach the "Narderant" alpine hut at 1.85 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and soak in the beauty of the area.

Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest such as "Tiocan" viewpoint, "Buvette du Tiocan" bar, and various picnic sites and information points. These will provide you with insights into the local area and its history.

At 1.05 kilometers from the start, you will find a rocky area, which adds a touch of rugged natural beauty to the hike. As you near the end of the trail, you will be rewarded with stunning viewpoints at 1.89 kilometers and 1.6 kilometers from the start.
